Family Concierge (http://instagram.com/familyconciergetm) has partnered with a lovely and high-achieving family in Buffalo’s Elmwood Village to hire an experienced, energetic After-School Nanny-House Manager for two bright and active children, ages 8 and 10. This role is perfect for a childcare professional who excels in fostering a structured yet engaging environment and is skilled in coordinating a variety of after-school and summer activities.

About the Role:

  • Hours: Core hours are 4-7pm, Monday through Thursday. Additional hours to accommodate days off from school and summer recess may vary and will be communicated with ample notice.
  • Children: Primary care for an 8-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy whose interests include card games, board games, math, reading, sports, swimming, and baking.
  • Activities: Managing a busy schedule of after-school activities, providing reliable transportation and adept scheduling for children attending different schools.
  • Home Environment: Crafting a fun, stable, and structured, screen-free environment post-school hours.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate school days off is appreciated but not required.
  • Meal Prep: Proficiency in preparing nutritious, kid-friendly meals.
  • Pet Care: Light care responsibilities for one family dog.
  • Swimming: Must be a confident swimmer, as the family has a pool.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes order, structure, and routine in the children's daily lives.
  • Safe transportation to/from school, play dates, and various activities.
  • Engaging in and organizing creative activities and play.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: At least three years as a professional nanny, preferably with experience in high-achieving family settings.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, outstanding verbal and written communication, and a stellar ability to multitask.
  • Personality: An assertive partner who can seamlessly serve as an extension of the parents' values and routines in their absence.
  • Values: A strong advocate for academic excellence, intellectual stimulation, and physical activity in a nurturing environment without resorting to screen time.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation with a clean driving record is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of child development principles and milestones.
  • Strong sense of empathy, compassion, and a creative, fun-loving approach to childcare.
  • Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in a private home.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Lifeguarding experience ideal, but not mandatory.
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background check

Benefits:
