Marketing Assistant
Development
Full-Time; $40,000/year
SCHEDULE: Full time, variable hours
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position is responsible for assisting the marketing manager in a
variety of departmental functions including developing marketing strategies, tracking information,
conducting market research, and assisting with the various phases of marketing campaigns.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with the development of marketing plans and strategies for the agency, as well as its
programs and service areas.
2. Conduct market research to determine best strategies for marketing efforts.
3. Help create and maintain a system for tracking data and results for all digital and print
marketing.
4. Assist with SEO and Google Analytics.
5. Assess the effectiveness of all website and social media efforts via tracking, analyzing and
presenting meaningful measurements.
6. Analyze data collected to use for improving strategies and increasing positive results,
including increasing involvement from donors, volunteers, and community members and overall
awareness and brand recognition within the community.
7. Assist in the creation and launch of an agency marketing campaign.
8. Assist with the annual report, as well as written and electronic newsletters.
9. Assist with managing public relations and media-facing materials for the agency while promoting
and strengthening brand identity in the community.
10. Represent FCS by participating in community activities, events, and collaboratives and build
relationships with relevant community affiliates as requested or assigned by supervisor.
11. Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements,
and educational/certification/registry requirements.
12. Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability if
applicable.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
2. Experience with measuring ROI of online and offline advertising campaigns.
3. Ability to report on marketing KPis like leads, conversion rates, website traffic and social
media engagement.
4. Experience using social media outlets and analytics.
5. Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet
deadlines.
6. Ability to perform duties independently.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Marketing,
Graphic Design, Communications, or related field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to hear and talk on the phone and/or face to face interaction
required. Must have good vision for close work. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to travel to provide services in other offices and locations to meet client and agency needs.
