Family-Centered Services Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Exempt Position)
Family Access Center (FAC) is hiring a full-time Supervisor to supervise the following areas: Carroll, Audubon, Greene, Guthrie, Shelby, and Harrison. This position will be in our Council Bluffs office as well as being in the field supporting/coaching staff with shadowing and supervision.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Services or related field with a minimum of two years of full-time experience in Child Welfare Services. Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Essential Functions Requirements: A driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation is required. This position requires attributes and skills including strong motivation, flexibility, organizational skills, public relations and employee relations skills, excellent written and verbal communication, optimistic, mission centered perspective, ability to motivate and resolve issues. Due to the nature of the services provided during after school, evening and weekend hours, this position requires a significant amount of on-call and in the field availability for coaching, shadowing, and consultation to support the team. This is a full-time exempt schedule with typical hours of 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm, with significant flexibility to meet the needs of staff, including significant on-call availability. Job Responsibilities: The Family-Centered Services Supervisor position will encompass coordination and supervision of a team of Family-Centered Services providers including family support, family preservation and family team meeting professionals dedicated to evidence-based home and community child welfare services. The Family-Centered Services Supervisor will provide supervision for a team of 8-10 staff, who provide home and community-based family centered services to include to include, but not limited to Solution-Based Casework®, SafeCare®, motivational interviewing/ family preservation, Child Safety Conferences, and FTDM/YTDM. Due to the management responsibilities, this position will include special projects and other duties as assigned.
Supervisor will ensure that delivery of services is performed according to FAC’s mission, vision, service philosophy, regulatory requirements, contractual requirements with DHS, and in accordance with all FAC policies, procedures, and defined guidelines. The Supervisor will provide weekly individual supervision and team supervision to the respective team to promote professional development, collaborative documentation, implementation of evidence-based practices, and quality outcomes. Shadowing and coaching of team members in the field both during the day and during evening hours a minimum of two-three evenings per week is required. Position will also be required to coordinate and manage various activities related to organization-wide performance and quality improvement including tracking/monitoring services provided for clients and referral agency, collecting, and analyzing data to improve overall outcomes, participating in Performance and Quality Improvement program, and participation in accreditation and other regulatory reviews.
