POSITION: PARAPROFESSIONAL

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Ability to relate well with students and other adults
  2. Ability to assist in the instruction and supervision of students
  3. NCLB Qualified (Associates Degree or Para Pro Test (Praxis)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ability to relate well with students and other adults
  2. To be generally responsible to the curriculum supervisor
  3. To participate in staff development workshops, training sessions, meetings, and/or other activities organized by the curriculum supervisor, or the program director
  4. To be directly responsible to the teacher for activities related to instruction and program implementation
  5. To assist and work under the supervision of the teacher in:
  6. Providing individualized instructional services
  7. Preparing instructional materials
  8. Organizing instructional areas
  9. To be responsible to school principals for non-instructional duties that fall within guidelines
  10. To participate in program evaluations and needs assessment procedures

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTIn accordance with the Fall River Paraprofessionals contract. Employment is contingent upon job performance, program needs, and funding. Salary includes a 183 day work year, with 210 paid days per year (including vacation and paid holidays).

Current 2023-24 Salary Ranges: $19.92 to 21.19 per hour.
