    New Teacher/Licensed Staff Orientation:
    New teaching/new licensed staff orientation will be held on July 24 & 25, 2024
    Experience:
    District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 relevant experience up to 20 years.
    Work Schedule:
    182 contracted work days
    Benefits:

    Salary:
    The minimum starting pay with a Special Education teaching license is $51,704.40*/year and the maximum salary is $83,041.20*/year.
    The minimum starting pay with Speech Language Pathologist License is $63,240*/year and the maximum salary is $82,248*/year
    The minimum starting pay with Speech Language Pathologist License and CCC is $66,192*/year and the maximum salary is $86,388*/year
    Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education/certifcations and years of relevant experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).
    • Salary is based on the 23/24 school year and is subject to change
    Interviews are site-based and not conducted by the Human Resources office.

    Qualifications and Expectations:
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in special education or related field from accredited college or university
    • Colorado Department of Education Educator License in Special Education and/or Colorado Department of Education Specialized Service Provider license.
    • 2-3 years’ experience in PK-12 public education preferred
    • 2-3 years’ experience with communication devices preferred
