**Position Overview: **

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in construction inspection and knowledgeable in using industry-standard equipment. This role involves assisting the Resident Engineer in all aspects of field duties, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Field Inspection:** Perform thorough inspections of non-structural operations, grading, paving, concrete work, rebar placement, and drainage systems construction.

- **Traffic Control:** Ensure compliance with traffic control system regulations.

- **Contract Management:** Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of contract change orders (CCOs).

- **Schedule Analysis:** Conduct critical path method (CPM) schedule analysis to ensure project timelines are met.

- **SWPPP Compliance:** Monitor, inspect, and report on storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) compliance.

- **Communication:** Maintain effective communication with clients, staff, team members, and project stakeholders.

- **Submittal Review:** Review structures related to submittals, including falsework, shoring, tiebacks, and cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piling.

- **Regulatory Familiarity:** Utilize knowledge of Caltrans Standard Plans, Standard Specifications, Falsework Manual, Construction Records & Procedures Manual, Foundation Manual, Deck Construction Manual, and other structure manuals.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in construction inspection.

- Proficient in the use of industry-standard equipment.

- Strong skills in grading, paving, concrete work, rebar placement, and drainage systems construction.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with Caltrans standards and manuals.

- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
