Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient billing records. Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes using DRG, ICD-9, ICD-10, and other coding systems
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain patient billing records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Prepare and submit reports on billing activities as required

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in medical collections is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
