Fairweather is Hiring a Drilling specialist Near Anchorage, AK

JOB SUMMARY :

The Drilling Facilities Support Specialist is responsible for plant maintenance and modifications to the Western North Slope Mud Plant, as well as the record keeping associated with those activities.

They are responsible for maintaining records of required periodic and ad hoc maintenance, scheduling 3rd party contractors to perform work on site, and reviewing the invoicing related to the work that is completed by 3rd party contractors.

Additionally, any major changes or modifications to the procedures or equipment in the facility will need to be reviewed and implemented by the Support Specialist.

Drive to understand the operational process and working principals of the equipment in the facility is greatly desired, as well as the ability to assist with projects at other facilities overseen by the ConocoPhillips I&S team.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Parts procurement, equipment research, vendor contact, 3rd party service technician scheduling.

Maintenance Forecasting

Schedule and coordinate major maintenance efforts that require 3rd party support or require operational downtime.

Equipment Failure Log

Track equipment failures / required repair including key contacts, cost and manhours for repair, any parts required, and process taken to address problems.

3rd Party Support

  • Solicit and Coordinate 3rd party support for maintenance and repairs of the facility.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with critical 3rd party support providers for maintenance at the plant.
  • Warranty and OEM support.
  • Oversight of contractors performing plant maintenance or modifications.

Maintenance Plans

Support the development of periodic maintenance checklists and tracking.

Manage Material and Service Requests

  • Maintain a log of all material and service requests.
  • Compile requests and manage the approval process.
  • Track and coordinate shipments and travel to site
  • Close out requests once work is complete and review and approve invoicing.

Budget Tracking

Track and provide annual spend data for review by the client.

Contract Performance

Assist with the tracking and presentation of key performance indicators at quarterly intervals per the operations contract.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 3-5 years of North Slope Operations experience
  • Applies a broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems
  • SAP Experience
