Fairweather is seeking a bartender with elevated, high-volume restaurant experience. |JOB_TITLE|s are an integral part of our collaborative front-of-house team, helping to create exceptional guest experiences and earning industry-leading tips.
Bartenders are the first and only point of contact for many of our guests. As such, you are an ambassador to our community and ultimately responsible for ensuring an elevated level of service. You must be friendly, outgoing, and possess a passion for service. Bartenders are responsible for ensuring guests’ enjoyment. You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Be guest sensitive and possess a sense of timing. Take pride in your personal appearance and show dedication to your job. Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.
Job Duties
  • Must have Sunday availability and Must be able to start immediately.
  • Accurately take guests' orders and input into POS system while maintaining correct transaction records
  • Comply with Fairweather and Department of Health established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards; observe proper food preparation and handling techniques and safety protocols
  • Comply with Fairweather safety plan and standards as set forth in training materials
  • Craft and serve beverages according to Crew's recipes and guidelines
  • Effectively communicate guest needs with the management team
  • Ensure compliance with all State and local alcohol ordinances and the implementation of those ordinances
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of every item on the menu and answer guest questions with clarity and confidence, providing recommendations upon request
  • Navigate unsatisfied guest concerns while escalating serious issues to upper management
  • Provide friendly, gracious, motivated, detail oriented, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for guests
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
  • Set up and breakdown station to specification; perform cleaning tasks at the conclusion of each service and prepare for the following service
  • Store food properly and safely according to Fairweather training; stock all beverage items properly according to the menu and par levels
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform essential job functions when working in a high business volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods of time as required to perform essential job functions
  • Able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
  • Be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • General knowledge of industry safety standards and procedures
  • Industry standard knowledge of classic drink recipes, beer, wine, and spirits
  • Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
  • State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
  • Willingness to work in outdoor climate conditions
