Fairview Health Services is Hiring a Staffing Clerk - Chisago Clinic Near Chisago, MN

Overview:
M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Staffing Clerk to join our team at the Chisago Clinic. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Chisago Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic hours are 7AM to 6PM Monday - Thursday and 7AM - 5PM on Fridays, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!

This is a 0.9 FTE (72 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. The scheudle for this opening is Monday - Friday 5:15AM - 1:45PM, every other Friday off. Schedule is subject to change based on clinic needs.

This is an SEIU union role.

Serves in a staff support position to the Directors of Care Delivery and their nurse managers by creating, adjusting and archiving staffing schedules for employees of FLRHC, and does payroll editing and approving to insure that employees are paid correctly. Works in a cooperative manner with leaders and employees to insure that staff are present to provide safe staff-to-patient ratios or to meet fixed staffing requirements.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
Job Expectations:
Makes daily staffing adjustments as needed
Record daily census information
Receive UTO information
Work with House Supervisor/Department Manager or Supervisor to determine staffing needs/overages
Recruit help as needed to fill staffing needs
Develops weekly/monthly schedules for assigned departments.
Produce weekly or monthly schedules in timely manner consistent with union contract language and yearly calendars taking into consideration: existing block schedules and work agreements, vacations, employee requests, workshops, holidays, and budgeted needs
Communicate staffing needs to employees
Follow up in filling known staffing needs
Reviews and approve time sheet records.
Collect, review, edit and approve edit forms and payroll printouts for nursing departments
Advise employees of changes made to timekeeping that affect pay.
Submit timekeeping approvals to Payroll in timely manner
Consult Human Resources, directors, managers, employees, as appropriate, regarding questions and problems
Tracks and report departmental data.
Track STO, UTO and holidays
Develop census, variance and other requested reports
Maintain employee data bases
Process schedule changes and trades
Transfer LOA information into scheduling records
Maintain employee and scheduling files
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
Qualifications:
Required
Experience:
Requires previous healthcare experience. Also requires experience in one or more of the following areas: staffing, scheduling, or payroll. Requires excellent interpersonal, conflict-resolution and problem solving skills. Also requires attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software. Must be able to work independently and multi-task.

Preferred
Education:
Two years college or technical education
