Fairview Health Services is searching for hardworking RNs looking for an exciting career in our NICU unit located at our Burnsville, Minnesota campus! Our hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions. The hospital has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the elegant Minnesota Valley since 1984.

About This Unit:

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit? If so, then this might just be the position for you! Fairview Ridges NICU staff provide patient and family centered care for high risk newborns/infants and premature infants.

  • The RN’s attend high risk deliveries. Caring for Babies born at 28 weeks, up to 23 beds.
  • The culture is one of teamwork & collaboration between ALL members of the team.
Responsibilities Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. We coordinate care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. We are also the people who work as the scrub person during L&D operative procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active MN RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • NRP certification at or within 6 months post hire onto the unit
  • 1 year RN NICU experience 

Preferred:

  • One year of RN experience in peds or OB care OR
  • One year of RN experience in level II or level III nursery OR
  • One year or RN experience in an ICU/PICU setting OR
  • Completion of a Capstone or similar preceptorship experience in a NICU setting.
