What you will do

The kennel tech provides daily care and attention to the daycare and lodging dogs in the facility. In this job, you will:

  • Work part-time evenings and weekends
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, beds, exterior runs, and common areas
  • Launder bedding, clean and sanitize dishes
  • Feed and water dogs according to their specific dietary needs
  • Administer medications as directed by staff
  • Monitor the health and behavior of all dogs and report any concerns to the supervisor
  • Exercise and interact with the dogs to ensure their well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
  • Check dogs in and out as needed

What we expect of you

We're all different and have different experience. The person we seek will have these qualifications:

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting (ex. Kennel, Vet, Shelter, etc.) required. 1 year minimum.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
