Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with behavioral health needs. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct care to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records
- Monitor and document client behaviors, ensuring compliance with treatment goals
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including HIPAA guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, following established protocols
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques
- Experience in data collection and analysis
- Familiarity with medical records documentation and procedures
- Ability to administer medications according to prescribed protocols
- Knowledge of PTSD care and trauma-informed approaches
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in crisis intervention strategies
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements
