Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care is Hiring a Remote Marketing/Community Education Coordinator

Pay: $21.97 - $34.64 an hour

Job Type: Full-time # People to Hire for this job: 1

Schedule: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

May require evenings and weekends to accommodate referral source events, fundraising events, meetings, and any other marketing/community education needs that occur outside of typical office hours.

FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care, Home of The Pickering House is seeking a Marketing/Community Education Coordinator (CE) to promote and educate community and healthcare professionals on FAIRHOPE’s unique programs and services. Be the face of the company in the agency’s service area - Fairfield, Hocking, Perry and surrounding counties.

We believe in a professional team approach and candidates must demonstrate great communication and social interaction skills, as well as, be a compassionate individual to work with patients, families and other professionals to promote the philosophy of hospice and palliative care.

We are looking for someone who is experienced to provide outreach and build nurturing relationships with area care and medical facilities, health care providers, senior centers, and patients and community members. The ideal CE candidate works to maintain knowledge of and understand area competition, as well as, the ever-changing trends in healthcare and hospice/palliative care in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of all FAIRHOPE's programs.
  • Coordinate Community Outreach events for assigned territory and facilitate activities/meetings as needed.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with key referral sources, healthcare partners, and professional and community contacts.
  • Identify new referral sources utilizing agency resources and his/her community contacts. Obtain appropriate referral information, document call visit notes/activities/events, and record in agency database in a timely manner.
  • Develop an appropriate call plan to generate referrals by building long-term business partnerships and relationships.
  • Maintain a database for all assigned referral sources and contact connections. Timely document accurate and relevant cold call/contact/event notes regarding daily activities in agency CRM.
  • Formulate planning and coordination of wide-reaching educational opportunities to raise awareness and promote FAIRHOPE programming to improve understanding of services.
  • Participate in speaking engagements and Continuing Education Programs.
  • Assist in identifying information and/or events to promote through media outlets, i.e. press releases, social media, print ads, etc.
  • Assist in budget preparation and strategic marketing plan for Community Education; Maintain budget for assigned territories.
  • Remain HIPAA compliant at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications/business preferred, or equivalent years of experience in community education/marketing field considered.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in health care related field. Hospice and palliative care experience preferred.
  • Participates in professional growth and development, i.e., marketing practices, technology.
  • Extensive computer skills required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, good driving record and auto accident insurance at a level acceptable to FAIRHOPE and/or FAIRHOPE’s insurer.
  • Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
  • Physical Setting: Hybrid position in various healthcare settings. Some driving is required.
  • Work Location: Service area coverage throughout Fairfield, Hocking, Perry, and surrounding counties. Main office location is located in Lancaster, Ohio.
