Fairhaven Pediatrics is Hiring a Front Desk Medical Receptionist Near Bellingham, WA

Overview:

Seeking a part time front office associate for a small private pediatric practice. The candidate must be friendly and organized, with strong time management skills.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and families in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and manage incoming calls and texts
- Schedule patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Verify patient insurance and benefits information - Collect patient copays and balances due -Keep patient records up to date and complete
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, assist providers and nursing with cleaning rooms and emptying trash when needed

Requirements:

- Previous experience working at the front desk in a medical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using medical scheduling systems (OP, Phreesia, Spruce or similar) - Proficiency in Excel or Numbers, excellent typing skills -experience using Apple computers a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of phone systems and administrative procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
