We are seeking a OTB HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and repairs.

Job Summary – Perform complete and thorough preventive maintenance on all heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. This includes but is not limited to A/C equipment, smoke remediation equipment, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-in coolers, reach-in freezers and ice machines. General duties include inspection, testing, cleaning, filter replacements, minor repairs and adjustments.

Essential Function – Perform preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer’s standards. Inspect equipment to assess function, inspect blower assembly and belts. Lubricate bearings. Clean condenser coils, clean evaporator coils, clean/treat condensate drain pans, clean condensate drain lines, check thermostats and sensors for proper operation, replace all filters, clean all grilles and registers. Complete minor repairs including but not limited to belt replacement/adjustment, thermostat replacement, condensate drain line repair. Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Identify, evaluate and make recommendations related to equipment condition in order to prevent and/or minimize equipment failures and down time. Make yearly recommendations for capital budgets to replace aging and/or failing equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Licenses/Certificates: Must be 21 years or older, valid driver’s license and must be able to obtain a Louisiana State Racing License.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of HVACR maintenance and/or general building maintenance experience. Individual must be mechanically inclined. Individual must have a basic knowledge of HVAC equipment and hand tools. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties.
