Join an award-winning team! The Fairfield by Marriott in Gainesville is currently seeking a friendly, hard-working individual to join our maintenance team. This specific job posting is for a person who will assist with maintenance tasks, as well as doing Houseman duties on a regular basis. Please see below:

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with general hotel maintenance such as replacing lightbulbs, repairing caulking, basic plumbing, painting, etc.
• Performing property walks while on duty as maintenance.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel's public spaces.
• Performing regular property walks to remove trash and debris.
• Setting up the meeting space - arranging tables, chairs and placing linens when necessary.
• Vacuuming corridors prior to guest check-in.
• Dispose of trash for the entire hotel a few times a day.
• Maintaining a clean pool / patio area.
• Providing our guests with outstanding guest service.
• Assist maintenance with general projects.
• Any other tasks deemed necessary by management.
• Ability to stand on your feet for 6 hours at a time
• Ability to push, pull, carry, lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous hotel experience a plus
• Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
• Requires ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests in order to create a warm, comfortable, and relaxing environment.
