Job Title: Loss Prevention Associate
Reports To: Operations Supervisor

About Us:
RGB Hospitality is thrilled to announce an opening for a Loss Prevention Associate at our newly inaugurated Fairfield By Marriott Downtown Austin. Our hotel features 130 guest rooms spread across 17 floors, a rooftop multipurpose room with a terrace, a lively downstairs bar, a luxurious presidential suite, and 9 unique room types. We offer an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment, ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.

Job Description:
As a Loss Prevention Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property. You will be responsible for preventing theft, responding to emergencies, and ensuring a secure environment throughout the hotel.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol the hotel premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of the premises.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Operations Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
