Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry is properly cleaned, dried, and folded according to company standards. This position is well-suited for individuals who have experience in dry cleaning and laundering services, particularly within a hotel setting.
Duties:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items such as linens, towels, and uniforms
- Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and ironing machines
- Inspect items for stains or damages and treat them accordingly
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of soiled linens
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor
- Assist with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and placing orders as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dry cleaning or laundering services preferred
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their care requirements
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
