Fairfield County Ohio is Hiring a Workforce Information and Communications Coordinator Near Carroll, OH

Fairfield County and the Area 20 Workforce Development Board are looking for a Workforce Information and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This individual will work on a team, located at the Fairfield County Workforce Center, that serves five counties in the region (Fairfield, Pickaway, Ross, Hocking, and Vinton). This position is dynamic and will have the opportunity to work in a variety of areas including social media, business outreach, and public affairs.30% Assists with the programming of the Area 20 Workforce Development Board (WDB) which covers Fairfield, Hocking, Pickaway, Ross, and Vinton counties. Performs administrative duties as assigned to assist in the procurement and management of one stop centers, career services, and youth services. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing board packets, corresponding with board members, taking meeting minutes, assisting with the coordination of Youth Councils, and correspondence with OhioMeansJobs operators. 
 
 
 
30% Promotes employer services offered through WIOA. Performs outreach to businesses and markets the programs throughout the area, and maintains a database of target businesses. Performs social media outreach to community. Monitors websites. Assists with special projects such as job fairs and other hiring events. Posts jobs to ohiomeansjobs.com. Creates post for social media and works with all five counties to execute social media strategies.
 
 
20% Assists with grant management i.e. data compilation and management for reporting purposes. Assists with pre-apprenticeship data and summer camp registration processes. Performs research and data gathering for the department. 
 
 
10% Assists with WIOA fiscal management. Including monthly reporting, support for processing WIOA invoices, and other fiscal duties as assigned.
 
 
 
10% As support staff, directly assists Director and Boards/Committees with other administrative duties as needed. This may include special projects, serving on various committees, attending meetings of local government officials, assisting with events, attending regional meetings, and supplying reports to the WDB, county commissioners, or other officials.Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred. One year professional experience with a business or government office preferred. Familiarity with social media channels preferred.
