Job Overview: Night Audit
Responsible for the handling of all guest interactions, including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest requests with the charge to build lasting and memorable relationships, driving guest shuttle (DL required) and to ensure our guests have an outstanding stay. At InnTrusted hotels, we want our guests to feel rested, energized, and ready for their day ahead of them. This means we need team members who demonstrate the following service behaviors: Make a connection: Show guests that they are important and make them feel at ease by taking time to acknowledge them in a friendly way. Be helpful: Familiarize yourself with all the services in the hotel and the local area to answer any question and give guests what they need to find their own way. Be efficient: Take ownership and play your part to get things done by making things easier for guests; doing as much as possible in advance and multi-tasking when you need to. Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Returns: Ensure all financial transactions are verified and balanced on a daily basis. Confirm credit card and payment method at check-in/out. Uncover leads from in-house guests, reservations, and operate as an integral member of hotel Sales team. Team Work: Responsible to know, understand, and fulfill the InnTrusted Mission Statement. Create guest satisfaction by providing fast, friendly and genuine hospitality. Give personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest service. Complete shift checklist. Stay current with developments by reviewing and updating the communication log and checking work emails. Respond to all emergency situations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining hotel key security system. Guest Loyalty: Assist guests with basic knowledge of local area to facilitate guest needs such as giving directions, identifying local attractions, etc. Offer guests upgraded room types and promote hotel amenities, food and beverage outlets, and other services. Promote and market our reward/frequent stay program. Listen, apologize with empathy, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems. Additional Night Auditor Job Functions: Apply knowledge and understanding of audit procedures. Assemble, audit, and post various accounting records. Ensure the balance of audits during month end closings. Identify and safeguard confidential information. Email reports Physical Requirements: Walking and standing required throughout the entire shift. Reaching, bending, carrying, stooping. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Continuous use of keyboard and telephone. All Employees must be willing and able to adhere to our Employee Handbook policies and pass our pre-hire drug test.
