Required

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.
• Four (4) years of progressive social services experience, one (1) year of which shall have included working with income-eligible families, records maintenance, and forms completion.
• Must have access to a vehicle and possess an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
• Knowledge of federal requirements for state and federal programs such as FECEP and Head Start.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computers and applicable software.
• Familiarity with eligibility and enrollment requirements and procedures.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively with program staff, agency staff, families, families, volunteers, and community members from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred

• Knowledge of Fairfax County Public Schools offices and departments, community resources, and agencies.
