PurposeThis position is responsible for the programming and inspection of any work using a Zeiss CMM (Calypso programming language). All work must be completed according to the applicable dispatch. Develop programs for ZEISS CMM inspection of complex mechanical detail parts and assemblies using drawings, CAD/CAM data and GD&T standards. Essential FunctionsPrograms and performs CMM inspection of parts and assemblies.Ability to program from CAD-model files in Calypso..Ensures that all CMM programs meet GWP and GD&T principles to accurately, efficiently and repetitively measure products with appropriate methods in a timely manner. Understands and uses GD&T and can interpret various Blueprints.Ability to train others to operate the CMM.Ability to support 2nd shift needs if requiredManages the work flow in and out of CMM to ensure efficient and accurate inspectionProficient in using various measuring equipment including, but not limited to, optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, pin gage, etc.Supports all inspection requirements and related work by staying actively engaged.Maintains a thorough working knowledge of company’s ERP systems related to quality modules, engineering masters, part/item masters, reports.
