Quality Control Inspector Summary Perform quality inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, and manufactured products to ensure compliance with all quality requirements. Primary Responsibilities Perform receiving inspections on incoming parts and raw material to ensure that they meet quality requirements.Perform in-process inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies to ensure that they meet quality requirements.Perform final inspections on completed equipment to ensure that it meets quality requirements.Perform and/or witness quality testing of equipment to include hydro testing, noise testing, and factory acceptance testing.Complete and maintain inspection records and communicate inspection results to Quality Manager and Production Manager.Create and track NCRs for nonconforming parts and material.Assist with corrective action reports, internal audits, and continuous improvement projects. Knowledge and Skill Requirements 3 years’ experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing environment preferred.Detail oriented and safety focused.Proficient with common measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and weld gages.Proficient reading blueprints and technical specifications.Experience performing VT, PT, and MT inspections a plus. Level II certification is strongly preferred.CWI certification is desirable.Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management system.Good written and verbal communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills .Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.Proficient in computer word processing and Microsoft Office applications.Experience with ERP systems is a plus.Knowledge of MIL standards is a plus.Experience operating forklift and overhead crane is a plus.Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time. Working Conditions Non-temperature controlled fabrication environment.
