Together with our in-house sales staff they deliver a very high level of customer service. Job Description Job Title: Industrial / Navy Crater Date: March 2024 Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor Summary American Fan has an opportunity for an Industrial / Navy Crater based in our Fairfield, OH facility. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient packaging of our fans for shipment. The primary duty requires attention to detail as well as strong craftmanship skills as your main task daily will to be to construct and assemble custom crates to securely transport our product. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and be able to develop binding relationships across all functional areas within the organization, as well as with customers and vendors. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Construct custom crates according to specifications provided for each fan model. Utilize various tools and equipment such as saws, nail guns and measuring devices to cut and assemble wooden crates. Audit/ Participate 5S in the department.Maintain skid inventory to always be aware of what is available for ordersIdentify and assure all items needed to be shipped for the day are packaged and crated. Ensure crates are properly reinforced to withstand transportation and handling elements and other stresses. Perform quality checks on finished crates to verify compliant with packaging. Assist in inventory management by tracking and replenishing crate materials as needed. Ship in ERP system all product that will be physically shipping each day.Assure all Packing slips & BOL are created provided to carrier and filed for shipments.Attach all labels regarding to shipments, Customer, Pro, packaging and load trucks.Complete all other duties assigned to you by your manager. Qualifications and Educational Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Previous experience in crating, packaging or shipping preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow instructions and work independently Knowledge of manufacturing performance indicators such as productivity, utilization, and efficiency.Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with employees.Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.This position includes access or potential access to export-controlled data.
