Basic office responsibilities will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals to specialists, completing financial transactions, checking patients in and out, referrals for insurance requirements, submitted prior authorizations for prescribed medications as well as for diagnostic tests ordered, and other duties as assigned by providers or office manager.
Medical duties include urine dips, EKGs, administration of vaccinations, collecting patient vitals as instructed by providers.
Must be highly motivated to work and take initiative with tasks. Qualified candidates should be detailed and accurate in completing tasks. This is a fast paced office and requires a high level of organization and prioritization.
At least one year medical experience/knowledge is required. Experience with Veradigm (formerly Allscripts ) Pro EHR and PM is preferred.
