Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients with wounds, ensuring their comfort and promoting healing. Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and irrigation
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of wound healing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license
- Proven experience as a Wound Care Nurse or similar role
- Proficient in venipuncture and diagnostic evaluation
- Knowledge of acute care, hospice palliative medicine, infant care, catheterization, nursing home, and behavioral health practices
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
