We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel in Selma CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all hotel departments and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. Responsibilities - Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance - Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs - Create and maintain a positive work environment for all staff members - Train and supervise hotel staff to ensure high levels of customer service - Monitor guest feedback and respond to any issues or complaints in a timely manner - Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards - Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive business growth and increase occupancy rates - Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met - Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role, Hilton/Hampton experience preferred - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficient in budgeting and financial management - Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures, housekeeping standards, and food and beverage operations - Multilingual abilities are a plus - Familiarity with phone systems and phone etiquette If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for hospitality and a drive for excellence, we invite you to apply for the position of Hotel Manager. The General Manager is a polished well-spoken and well-regarded ambassador who carries a strong vision for their hotel
He or she is charged with responsibility for all aspects of operations for the property; providing support supervision and guidance to their management team and front line associates
He or she will ensure that financial performance is optimized that high quality product and service levels are maintained and that the hotel is operated in compliance with state federal and local regulations as well as Company and brand standards
The General Manager will establish priorities and lead key operational initiatives such as the sales plan and budget development and execution of physical property improvement projects
They will provide hands on leadership to ensure that revenue is maximized while expenses are effectively controlled
They will serve as the linchpin for communications with guests and clients associates ownership corporate representatives brand representatives and key vendors
Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top ten accounts meeting clients hosting luncheons and receptions and meeting with on-site contacts on a daily weekly and monthly basis
Assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment which focuses on the guest through employee development and motivation
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with department managers
Interview all prospective final candidates for any vacant position within the hotel prior to any offer being extended
Ensure that all scheduled meetings take place on the property
