Summary
Tobacco Treatment Specialists provide participant-focused behavior change services via the telephone to support participants' process to quit tobacco use while meeting established performance expectations.
The Specialist must attend weekly staff meetings, monthly training, and feedback / coaching sessions, apply learning from coaching and training into interventions with participants, and comply with attendance, punctuality and all other behavior expectations and company policies.
This is a 32 hours / 4 day position with an option for remote work. This position is embedded in the Maine QuitLink statewide tobacco treatment phone coaching program.
Grant-funded position with majority of time attached to statewide treatment initiative, the Maine QuitLink. May also be asked to work in some community settings such as schools.
Background check to work in school setting required. Seeking individual based in Mid Coast region.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Chemical dependency coursework or work experience preferred. Previous experience providing interventions in health behavior change program strongly preferred.
