Responsibilities - Warehouse Worker

• Pick orders accurately and palletize shipments efficiently
• Acquire freight rates for shipments using online tools and email
• Process and confirm online sales
• Perform accurate inventory counts
• Scan and file paperwork
• Hand unload shipping containers, receive and store warehouse stock
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Safely operate warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and policies

Planned Promotion

• We are specifically hiring to fast-track someone to assistant warehouse manager
• This promotion will involve some added responsibilities
• Ideal time frame for the promotion: 3-6 months from hire date

Additional Responsibilities - Assistant Manager

• Supervise and direct warehouse workers
• Write up order pick sheets
• Double-check orders pulled by warehouse workers
• Answer phone calls as needed, providing customer service
• Help customers find the right product for their needs
• Process sales transactions in person and over the phone
• Make decisions about shipping options
• Assist with maintaining online presence
• Enter record of online sales into QuickBooks
• Open and operate the warehouse without direct supervision as needed

Skills

• Proficiency with Word and Excel preferred

• Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly
• Management experience preferred
• Working experience as a warehouse worker preferred, but not mandatory
• Current forklift certification preferred -- we will provide training otherwise
• High school degree or GED preferred

Compensation

• Starting at $18.80
• $0.50 raise at first performance review (within 3 months of hire date)
• Additional $1.00 raise at time of promotion
• Annual cost-of-living increases every January 1
• Opportunity for performance-based raises at annual performance reviews
