Onsite L1 Data Center Operations Technician - Santa Clara, CA
6 Month Assignment with possible extensions
Requirements
1-2 years of prior data center support experience.
Skill set and experience should include:
Hands-on Experience Required
Rack/Stack/Pack and move servers/racks.
Connect network cables.
GPU implementation and support.
Bring systems up and check the greenlight
Data center support
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain infrastructure to data center standards
Racking servers and devices within the data center
Manage and maintain data center infrastructure, network, servers and equipment as requested from the data center engineers
Supporting the data center and clients
Performing all aspects of data center operations
Inform best practices in data center operations
Provide remote-hands support for general data center facilities issues
Configure switches, and support other data center functions
Oversee and administer data center software solutions supporting planning and monitoring of data centers
Understanding and ensure data center redundancy requirements
Install and upgrade servers within the data center, including server additions and server removals
Provide support in many areas of data center operations
Improve documentation for the data center operations knowledge base
Manage physical access to data center facilities and racks
Assist with the patch cabling installation and systems racking at a data center
Establish high performance and optimized data center, network operations center and telecommunication infrastructure, facilities and services
Manage data center operations keeping normal lights-on operations
Monitoring all data center, server & storage related activities
Monitoring data center resources to proactively identify issues
