Minimum Requirements

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Minimum 5 years’ experience with precision machining and inspection equipment (Haas vertical mill preferred)

· Ability to cut and weld steel using MIG and/or TIG welding processes

· Ability to create and modify 3D CAD models, program toolpaths from CAM, modify G-code, set up milling machine with fixtures and tooling, and machine parts to desired tolerances (SolidWorks/ HSMWorks preferred)

· Solid understanding of engineering drawings, including the use of GD&T

· Solid understanding of mathematics, including geometry, trigonometry, and algebra

· Very detail oriented and able to perform a diverse range of tasks

· Operate a forklift

· Effective PC skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and various CMMS systems

Roles and Responsibilities

· Must work in a safe manner to avoid injury to self and co-workers

· Work with engineering and maintenance to design, fabricate, and modify tooling and fixtures for use on the production line using CNC mill, manual mill, welder, and other machine tools

· Basic maintenance of precision machining equipment including checking and adding fluids, making adjustments to equipment, and verifying and calibrating measuring devices against known standards

· Manage hand tool inventory for maintenance shop

· Assist with product production and maintenance activities on an as-needed basis

· Reporting any accident or unsafe act

· Implementing preventative measures or correcting reported situations within department.

· Wearing designated PPE as required by company policy

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
