The Construction Foreman is hands on while coordinating and overseeing activities of workers engaged in construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures in industrial and residential facilities. They organize, delegate and drive completion of projects and work orders to ensure the work is completed safely, on time and within budget. 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities 

• Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts, such as switches and fuses.
• Performs specified construction work in accordance with architect's plans, blueprints, codes, and other specifications. Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
• Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed safely, correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
• Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
• Hires and manages performance of a crew. Schedules work and maintains timelines for completion. 
• Repairs or replaces building brick, stone, and concrete.
• Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings, using carpenter tools.
• Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
• Purchases materials for construction in advance of jobs.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a general contractor or similar experience. 
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of all aspects of general construction and maintenance including plumbing, basic electrical, cabinetry, flooring, and painting.
• Keen attention to detail & pride in a finished product.
• Ability to accurately measure and calculate requirements.
• Strong project management skills. Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound decision. 
• Proven ability to delegate and hold others accountable. 
• Proven ability to communicate and share progress updates. 
• Be professional and lead by example.
