**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will facilitate communication between deaf or hard of hearing individuals and those who do not understand sign language.

**Responsibilities:**

- Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa accurately

- Provide interpretation services in various settings such as meetings, medical appointments, educational environments, and more

- Ensure confidentiality and impartiality while interpreting

- Understand and adhere to the ethical standards of interpreting

- Continuously improve sign language skills and stay updated on industry trends

**Qualifications:**

- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential

- Strong linguistic skills with knowledge of various sign language systems

- Multilingual abilities are advantageous

- Ability to interpret accurately and effectively in real-time situations

- Excellent communication skills to facilitate understanding between parties

- Certification in sign language interpretation is (preferred) but not required.

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to utilize your language skills to bridge communication gaps and make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
