Eyre Bus Service, on Maryland's leading charter bus companies, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Director to oversee and grow our company's fleet operations.

In addition to repairing our own internal fleet of motor coaches and buses, our shop performs services for outside customers seeking repair and maintenance for their commercial vehicles.

The Fleet Director will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our vehicles, managing maintenance schedules, and optimizing fleet performance. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a diverse fleet.

Responsibilities
-Develop and implement new and innovative fleet management strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Introduce fresh new ideas to improve processes within the shop, specifically regarding inventory control/management, pricing, fleet software, training and reducing downtime.

-Oversee the maintenance and repair of diesel trucks and buses, ensuring they are in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fleet management

- Effectively manage of team of 10 full-time Diesel Mechanics.

REQUIREMENTS
- Proven leader with experience in fleet management.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management software systems

-Strong knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze data/metrics and can make informed decisions
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial vehicles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
