Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Coding/Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Coding/Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for billing and reimbursement purposes. Your expertise in medical coding/billing systems and terminology will be crucial in ensuring accurate and efficient coding/billing processes. Training will be in office then you will have the flexibility of working remotely.

Responsibilities

- Review medical records and documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes

- Ensure compliance with coding/billing guidelines and regulations

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding/billing discrepancies

- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices

- Handle medical billing and collection activities

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

- Experience as a Coding/Billing Specialist or similar role

- Proficiency in medical coding systems

- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Experience with medical billing and collection processes

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
