Overview: We are a leading nonprofit organization committed to providing low-income housing opportunities and improving community development. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in housing coordination, social services, or a related field. The Housing Coordinator will play a vital role in managing housing programs, supporting residents, and collaborating with community partners to achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Housing Program Management:
   • Oversee the implementation and management of low-income housing programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
   • Conduct housing assessments, eligibility screenings, and applicant interviews to determine program eligibility.
   • Coordinate tenant selection processes, lease agreements, and move-in/move-out procedures.
2. Tenant Support and Services:
   • Provide ongoing support to residents, addressing housing-related concerns, maintenance requests, and lease compliance issues.
   • Develop and implement supportive services, such as financial literacy workshops, employment assistance, and community referrals, to enhance resident stability and well-being.
   • Collaborate with community organizations, social service agencies, and local resources to connect residents with additional support services as needed.
3. Community Engagement and Partnerships:
   • Build and maintain positive relationships with property owners, landlords, and community stakeholders to expand housing opportunities and resources.
   • Represent the organization at community meetings, housing coalitions, and networking events to promote our mission and identify collaborative opportunities.
   • Participate in advocacy efforts and policy discussions related to affordable housing, tenant rights, and community development initiatives.
4. Administrative Duties:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, and documentation related to housing programs, tenant information, and compliance activities.
   • Prepare regular reports, grant applications, and funding proposals to support program sustainability and growth.
   • Monitor program budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting requirements in collaboration with the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in housing coordination, property management, or social services.
• Knowledge of affordable housing programs, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
