GENERAL FUNCTION
The Manager - Data Analytics (Membership) is responsible for providing critical insights across Membership, from eligibility file data processing to member-level research. This role will bridge the gap between membership data analytics and research within the Department. Reporting directly to the Membership Director, this position will play a vital role in enhancing the department's efficiency and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The primary focus includes managing run-the-business KPI reporting, conducting detailed analysis of EDI file errors, developing tools to monitor EDI file progress, member record research, system performance analysis, trend monitoring, and support for departmental forecasting activities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the generation, maintenance, and enhancement of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual KPI reports for the Membership department, enabling performance tracking and improvement.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of EDI file errors, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to ensure data accuracy and SLA compliance.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to identify potential root causes of file processing errors and actively support system enhancement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain tools to closely monitor the progress of EDI files, ensuring timely processing and minimal errors.
  • Investigate and resolve member record discrepancies to maintain data integrity within the Membership database.
  • Continuously monitor membership file processing trends and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making within the department.
  • Collaborate with the Membership team to provide data-driven support for forecasting activities and resource allocation.
  • Utilize Business Objects for report building and modification to meet departmental reporting needs.
  • Leverage SQL skills to access and manipulate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Facets systems to extract and analyze relevant data.
  • Daily monitoring, analysis, and approval of client eligibility files to ensure SLAs and department KPIs are met.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Proficiency in Business Objects report building and modification.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Facets systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Technology related fields
  • Background or Certifications for Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
