Eye Surgeons Associates PC is Hiring a Visual Field/Ocular Coherence Tomography Technician Near Bettendorf, IA
Eye Surgeons Associates is seeking 1 VF/OCT Technician to join our practice!
The VF (Visual Field) and OCT (Ocular Coherence Tomography) Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic testing used to diagnose and manage diseases such as Diabetes-related retinopathy, Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma.
Responsibilities:
1. Verify orders and diagnoses for visual field tests, D-15 tests, and OCT tests in the EHR system. Link the ordering diagnosis to the appropriate testing template.
2. Select and complete the ordered test, test strategy, ordering physician, and eye(s) tested on the respective templates in EHR.
3. Task the physician for interpretation and complete billing when the patient is not being seen on the same day.
4. Perform backup and maintenance of OCT equipment.
5. Keep the visual field and OCT room clean and organized, including monthly cleaning of loose lenses.
6. Monitor visual field and OCT patient schedules.
7. Maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards, complete safety test materials, and adhere to the ESA compliance plan.
8. Support and assist other staff as requested by the supervisor/director and perform other assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalency required
- Some college courses or degree preferred
- Experience in optometry or ophthalmology preferred
- Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and have strong keyboarding skills
- Must be able to compute basic math
Office hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12pm
