Ophthalmic Technician

Job Description:
We are a busy, well established Ophthalmology practice looking for an Experience Ophthalmic Technician to assist our doctors. Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Ophthalmology Technicians work up patients prior to the visit which consist of taking an accurate patient history, reviewing medications, prescription refills and various testing. Technicians are expected to be proficient at auto-refracting, OCTs, VFs, Fundus Photos, Refracting, Cataract Evaluations, and other duties as assigned.

Pay will be based on experience. Experience IS required for this position. Thanks!

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in an Ophthalmic or Optometric clinic required.
  • Must be comfortable with refractions, vision assessment instruments, and other technology used in the clinic.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
