Eye Designs is Hiring a Medical Designer Near Collegeville, PA

Eye Designs Group, the leader in ophthalmic environments, designs and creates ophthalmic displays and cabinetry as well as offers Interior Design Services, Branding and Marketing assistance, quick ship products, accessories, and lighting while manufacturing most of our products at our highly efficient manufacturing facility.
We currently have a great opportunity for a Medical Designer to join our team in our Collegeville PA facility.
This position reports to the office 5 days a week.

The Medical Designer will be responsible for providing design consultation and execution of medical office space and/or exam rooms based on client specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage client accounts from design through post installation to ensure client satisfaction with process and products.
  • Support national sales reps with client presentations and inquiries.
  • Create and present to clients design options including but not limited to: space planning, ceiling design, lighting, furniture and interior finished based on client specifications and budget.
  • Assist clients with making final design selections.
  • Complete sign off package drawings and obtain client approval.
  • Create construction drawings for use by contractors, architects, and clients.
  • Update drawings and sales orders with any client changes.
  • Order finish samples for clients as needed.
  • Respond to client and contractor inquires and requests in a timely manner.
  • Keep abreast of latest industry trends by meeting with design reps, maintain design library, and participate in various educational opportunities.
  • Update CRM accordingly with all client correspondence, task, and activities completed per project.
  • Quote, order and follow up on chair and wall covering orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, or related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of interior design, space planning, or commercial design experience.
  • Experience with producing 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Prior experience with sales in a design role helpful.
Special Requirements:
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of interior design principles and practices.
  • Advance knowledge of AutoCAD software.
  • Familiarity with creating purchase orders.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Excellent presentations skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Good listening skills with the ability to transform client specifications into design concepts.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude.
