Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. You will assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and ensuring their visual needs are met. If you are detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses based on their prescription and personal preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear
- Adjust frames and lenses to ensure comfort and optimal vision for customers
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyewear utilizing the EMR software system
- Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology
Experience:
- Previous experience as an Optician preferred but not required
- Knowledge of products, including frames and lenses
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and managing medical records
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
