Eye Care Professionals is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Reno, NV

We are seeking a full-time technician to join our team! Eye Care Professionals has become the leader in providing comprehensive eye care in Northern Nevada. Hours/General Information:

Hours are 7:30AM-5:00PM Monday through Thursday, 7:30AM-12PM Friday, Closed Saturday and Sunday

Our technicians act as an extension of the physician. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to: exam pretesting, vision and pressure checks, phone triage, prescription refills and authorizations, scribing for physicians, assisting with refractive surgery, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed by our providers.

We place high value in continuing education and reward our team members for completing education that adds value to their role as a technician. All technicians have the opportunity to obtain their COA (through a fully funded program) after 1 year of employment.

Candidates must be friendly, organized, and have a passion for patient care. Attention to detail and empathy are imperative for success in this role. Ophthalmology, Optometry, or Optical experience is preferred but not required for this position.

Insurance benefits for full time employees are available after 60 days of employment and include 85% paid medical insurance, 100% paid dental insurance, and available vision insurance.

A 401K becomes available after 1 year of employment with a 3% employer contribution regardless of if the employee chooses to contribute a percentage themselves or not.

Full time employees are awarded 3 weeks of Paid Time Off on an accrual system. Accrual starts immediately and accrued time becomes available for use after 90 days of employment.

Uniform allowance is provided immediately.

Tuition reimbursement/allowances become available to employees after 1 year of employment for continuing ophthalmic related education.

Eye Care Professionals observes 12 paid holidays through the year.

Employees and direct family members all receive free ophthalmic care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
