Position: Game Master

Job Description:

At Exxcape Games, we're all about providing a thrilling and immersive escape room experience for our guests. We're currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Game Master with acting experience or skills to join our team and help us create unforgettable experiences for our guests.

As a Game Master, you'll be responsible for greeting arriving teams at the front desk, playing the roles in the game, and ensuring that our guests feel welcome and informed about the games we offer. You'll also guide each party through the instructions and rules of the game, observe the team as they play, being a live actor inside the game, and offer hints as needed to ensure that players have an enjoyable and challenging experience. In addition to these duties, you'll also be responsible for administrative tasks such as resetting the room between groups, taking photos of teams, and maintaining a clean and organized lobby and front desk area.

Responsibilities:

• Greet arriving teams at the front desk and provide a warm welcome
• Handle bookings for walk-in customers, answer questions, and offer suggestions for rooms
• Guide each party through the instructions and rules of the game
• Observe the team while they are in the game, providing hints as needed to ensure a challenging but enjoyable experience
• Ensure players are having the best possible experience and hit sales goals
• Reset the room between groups, take photos of teams, and perform other administrative tasks as required
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby, front desk, and other areas of the facility
• Play a role in the escape room experience, bringing games to life and creating an immersive environment for our guests
• Utilize acting experience or skills, react to the actions of the players, and deliver an entertaining performance that enhances the game

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Acting experience or skills, with the ability to perform dialogue and react to players in real-time
• Passion for puzzles, challenges, and immersive experiences

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
