The Nurse Manager is responsible for carrying out the duties of a Nurse Service Coordinator – RN/LPN for their assigned caseload and also responsible for providing supervision and leadership for the delivery of quality professional health care services to the people in ARCA’s IC/IID Division. The Nurse Service Department Manager is responsible for assessment and documentation of nursing needs and for coordinating health care with other health professionals for individuals receiving services. Individuals’ health care needs will be monitored and assessed on an ongoing basis. The Nurse Service Department Manager has face-to-face contact with individuals receiving services as indicated by nursing need and regulatory requirement. The Nurse Service Department Manager must accompany individuals to physician offices/Urgent Cares/Emergency Rooms when medically indicated. The Nurse Service Department Manager will attend Individual Service Plan meetings (ISPs), provide medical information, and develop nursing care plans to meet the needs of the individual. Communicates changes of status and treatment protocols to the Clinical Services Director, Division Directors, and other professional and direct support staff as indicated. The Nurse Service Department Manager assists in the development and implementation of a nursing care model that incorporates Medicaid Waiver regulations and other Federal and State laws and regulations as required. Works in partnership with the Clinical Director and Division Directors to develop Department processes and procedures. Monitors and maintains accurate records of program function and operation. Maintains current Nursing knowledge in the field of intellectual and developmental disability. Provides professional guidance and leadership to professional and direct support staff. Maintains productive relationships with individuals receiving services, families, guardians, professional organizations, and governmental bodies. The Nurse Service Department Manager is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and mitigating safety, health, and risk concerns within the department. Supervises Nurse Service Coordinator/Nurse Educators and Health Services Assistant. Works with the Human Resources Director/Team to manage employees in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, and ARCA Policies and Procedures. Organizes trainings and seminars to educate Nursing staff. Evaluates Nurse/staff performance and provides corrective measures as needed. Manages administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications: A current New Mexico license as an RN/LPN isrequired, CDDN credentialspreferred. A minimum offouryears nursing experience isrequired; community-nursing experience with people with developmental disabilities ispreferred. A minimum offouryears administrative/management experience including supervision, financial management and program management isrequired, previous CMA program administration ispreferred. Must have demonstrated experience and skills in leadership, problem solving, public relations, and organization. Experience working in a non-profit organization ispreferred.

Salary: $34.00 to $38.00 per hour
