Ravenscroft is an independent, coeducational day school in Raleigh, NC, with approximately 1,250 students in grades PreK-12.

We are looking to welcome an Extended Day Assistant Teacher into our community of educators that actively strive to be diverse, equitable and inclusive. Reports to: Extended Day Director 

As the PreK and Kindergarten Extended day Assistant at Ravenscroft, here is what you get to do:

• Assist during age-appropriate activities for children within Program structure
• Stay alert to any safety concerns in regards to the children while supervising play, homework, snack, crafts, etc. 
• Maintain clean and nurturing environment
• Contribute to general planning for the Program
• Coordinate activities of program with Lead Teacher

We are looking for someone who:

• Has great communication skills: tact in dealing with parents, colleagues and children in school setting
• Has experience working with children and demonstrates a desire to do so
• Flexibility in work schedule to help with Early Release Days and Teacher workdays and other additional hours as required by the School
• Has a background and/or Degree in Education or related fields preferred
• Is dependable, possesses a good work ethic, and is able and willing to work with other staff in a cooperative manner.
