Concrete Foreman Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified foreman who can help us complete a variety of projects in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. They must be able to perform various on-site tasks, and make sure every site is perfectly safe.

A good job candidate must be able to perform strenuous physical tasks, such operating heavy machinery and equipment. They also need to work great in a team to ensure successful implementation of landscape/hardscape plans.

Responsibilities of a Concrete Foreman:

• Oversee concrete installation projects.
• Review landscape/hardscape plans and ensure accurate and precise implementation of those plans.
• Coordinate with the team to execute tasks according to the project scope.
• Lead the team in performing various tasks and ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment.
• Being compliant with all the health and safety regulations.
• Maintain high quality standards throughout the project.

Concrete Foreman Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years field experience.
• Experience reading and implementing blueprints/plans.
• Ability to self-manage, train crew members, and delegate tasks effectively.
• High quality-control standards.
• Effective time management skills.
• Experience operating skid steer and related industry equipment.
• Leadership, organization, and time management skills are a must.
• Ability to learn and implement strategies to improve production and enforce quality standards.
• Must have transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record CDL preferred.

Pay Rate: $30-$40 per hour plus profit sharing. Hourly Rate based on experience.

Paul Devine is the owner/operator of Exterior Enterprises and is one of the few designers in this market to achieve an NCMA (National Concrete and Masonry Association) certification level of Advanced Trainer. Paul has been learning and teaching in the industry since 2001. He worked for a company that did general landscaping while studying Law. Paul quickly discovered that he had a knack for design, loved to be outdoors, and had an entrepreneurial spirit that led him to start his own business in the hardscape industry.
In the off season Paul travels the country presenting retaining wall and paver installation seminars for designers, architects and contractors. The seminars introduce proper hardscape installation techniques and offer ICPI and NCMA certification courses.
