Job Summary
We are seeking a Receptionist to join our team in Cranberry Township, PA. ZIP 16066
In this role, you will be the first interaction that our patients have when entering the office. You will check patients in and out, and collect any financial responsibility owed. You will investigate insurance information for upcoming exams, in order to be knowledgeable about patient coverage, and to fix any errors found. You will schedule follow up exams, as well as surgery dates. Responsibilities include printing reports, neutralizing eyewear, obtaining signatures on legal documents, use of Microsoft Windows and Electronic Health Records software.
Candidates with experience are preferred, however we will train a strong candidate without experience. Hands on training will begin for the first two weeks of employment.
This position does occasionally travel to address locations: Murrysville, PA and Washington, PA. You may expect an estimated 12 travel days per year.
Working Hours
Primarily morning shifts, with some evening shifts. We commonly work 7:30 - 4, 8 - 4:30, and 12-8.
Primarily Monday - Friday, infrequent Saturdays during the year
Responsibilities
Accurately entering and confirming patient demographic information
Verifying insurance eligibility
Scheduling appointments and surgeries
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and comprehensive patient documentation
Coordinate with doctors to complete medical records
Communicate professionally with patients, doctors, and healthcare staff
Complete administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
Previous experience as a Receptionist/Customer Service
Ability to collect and input detailed information
Strong computer skills
Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to multi-task
Compensation: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, 401(k)
