Summary

Responsible for Casing Running Tool Technician and / or Torque Turn Technician casing functions to ensure continuous production is consistent with established standards.

Functional Responsibilities

• Ability to demonstrate a working and competent knowledge of the Floor Hand I-III, and Crew Pushers' job duties, which includes tong operation.
• Ability to demonstrate a competent knowledge of the Field Ticket and Job Report Form and can communicate between work groups.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the Crew, Customer, all other resourced Personnel and Thread Representatives in a professional manner.
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of general tubular connections.
• Ability to demonstrate a general working knowledge of CRTi, CRTe, and Torque Turn tool’s function and operation.
• Ability to complete and pass CRT 101 and TT 101 within 180 days of starting the position.
• Employee will be in training to acquire competent knowledge of the Torque Turn Procedure-CSL-003 and JSEA’s.
• Employee will be in training to acquire a working competent knowledge of all Torque Turn systems and troubleshooting those systems software and hardware issues.
• Employee will be in training to acquire a working competent knowledge of the CRTi and CRTe Procedure- CLS-004, CLS-008 and JSEA’s.
• Employee will be in training to acquire a working competent knowledge of CRTi and CRTe’s function and operation (i.e. hoist/load ratings, torque capabilities, cross over sub torques, pressure ratings, hook load vs. torque limitations, and trouble shooting.
• Ability to learn to troubleshoot, repair and maintain CRTi, CRTe and Torque Turn equipment and tools to company safety and quality standards.
• Ability to learn to inspect and perform preventative maintenance checks of equipment on pre-trip and post-trip requirements.
• Ability to learn to maintain all documentation necessary to include technical data ensuring accuracy in reporting.
• Ability to work under supervision of Specialty Tool Tech II
• Ability to locate job sites on lease roads.
• Ability to learn to maintain all tools and equipment to ensure proper working order prior to arrival on location.
• Experience on a drilling rig, familiar with all aspects of casing operations.
• Complies with Company Policies, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures
• Ability to complete Job Specific JSEA and Tailgate Safety Meetings
• Ability to perform in an ethical and professional manner with integrity when representing the Company.
• Leads and Participates in 5x5 Safety and Observation Program
• Ensures performance of subordinates meets all HSE, DOT, and Quality Policies and standards.
• Other duties performed as assigned by Manager or Supervisor to meet the needs of the operation.

Education, Professional Licensure and Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 
• Valid Driver’s License, which meets Company standards

Required Skills

• Experience - 1 to 2 years in Casing Operations
• Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals and effectively communicate/present information and/or respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
• Mathematical Skills - Intermediate Skills -- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc.
• Reasoning Skills - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve practical problems with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and understand graphs
• Ability to interpret technical data
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment

Required Knowledge

• Must have knowledge of related casing tools and ability to run casing.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Crew Pusher experience
• Knowledge of torque turn gauge assemblies and procedures
• Knowledge of Casing Running Tools and procedures
• Knowledge of Employee Handbook and Company Policy(s)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Casing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and guidelines for implementation of SOP procedures. guidelines and Company policies.
• Must have ability to speak and understand the English language.

Physical Demands

• This job requires frequent heavy work which is typical of an oilfield job.
• Employee will be exposed to outdoor weather elements, high noise and the potential of chemicals and fumes or gasses.
• Employee will stand or walk 75% of the time and frequently be asked to bend, squat, reach or climb.
• Employee will be working at heights related to rig floor averaging 40’ decks.
• Employee must be physically capable of lifting, pulling, pushing tools and equipment up to 50lbs in a safe manner.
• Employee must be willing to work in a 24/7 environment
• Employee must have ability to work extended hours on location and / or away from home for extended periods.
