Crew Chief Apprentice

A leading provider of restoration and cleaning services is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual for the position of Crew Chief Apprentice at their Leavenworth, KS location. This is an evaluation hire with room for advancement and growth opportunities.

LOCATION : Leavenworth, KS

PAY : $17.00-$21.00/HR

SCHEDULE : 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, M-Th

Job Summary

As a Crew Chief Apprentice, you will initially join the team as a Mitigation Tech, working in the field to perform clean-up and restoration work. You will have the opportunity to interact directly with customers and document the crew’s work using an iPad.

Job Duties

· Execute repair tasks for water, fire, smoke damage, and mold remediation, encompassing water extraction, content pack-out, disposal of unsalvageable materials, cleaning, light construction, and demolition.

· Install and oversee the operation of air movers and/or dehumidifiers.

· Undertake additional cleaning responsibilities as part of mitigation or restoration assignments, such as construction cleaning, fire/smoke/odor cleaning, mold remediation, and carpet and upholstery cleaning, among others.

Requirements

· High school graduate or equivalent.

· Exceptional patience and the ability to perform under pressure.

· Possess a clean background check for the past seven years.

· Established work history showcasing reliability and the ability to work well within a team.

· Proficiency in reading and adhering to product label usage instructions.

· Strong customer service aptitude.

· Familiarity and comfort with utilizing an iPad.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

· Frequently move objects weighing up to 70 pounds through lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning.

· Stand and walk for extended periods. Tasks may involve lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching.

· Communicate ideas effectively with others and process detailed information.

· For safety purposes, be capable of ensuring respirators properly seal to the face in specific situations.

· Various indoor and outdoor working conditions, including changes in temperature such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
